Member Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. How many rehearsals do I need to attend?
We would love for everyone to attend every rehearsal but we understand that work, vacation, family and sick time may be needed. We ask that every member only miss a maximum of 3 rehearsals so that we can all rehearse for a great show. If you have extenuating circumstances, please discuss with the director.
2. What happens during the dress rehearsal?
During dress rehearsal, we will begin working with the audio and visual person in setting up the microphones, monitors, making any last minute seating changes, etc. We will also be running through the entire show from beginning to finish. Please be patient as there may be extended times we are not singing, but important time for all the show to come together.
3. Do I need to wear my show clothes for dress rehearsal?
No – please wear comfortable clothing but you may want to try out those shoes you will be wearing during the show to make sure they are comfortable.
4. How are soloists selected?
Soloists are selected by the director after an audition. The auditions will be set up between the director and the person directly.
5. What will be the “show“ clothes selected?
Each show may have different attire. Please refer to the music notes handed out at first rehearsal for the attire for the show. Women are encouraged to wear “show” makeup (heavy makeup and lipstick) and glitzy jewelry including earrings, necklaces and bracelets.
6. Where do we park for the performances?
TBD!
